Enzymes - a Market-place learning activity

We have been used this 'Market-place' style of activity in our department following inset training led by the History department.

This activity is excellent for introducing a new topic such as enzymes (AQA B2.4), and for pupil/pupil interactions.

instructions are given on the Powerpoint slide.

You need to provide different sets of information - as many different sets as you have student groups.

Students were put into mixed ability groups - see the table given on slide. Each group was given information about one aspect only.

Students were shown the test at the start - for just long enough to read the Qs - but not allowed to write anything down.

At the end all pupils carry out the test in exam conditions.

Then answers are given.
