Peer marking

Exam question responses (more than 4 marks)

Instruction to students:
"Underline one good sentence in green and one that needs improving in red."

Students read out their good sentence to class and rewrite the one that needs improving.

This is particularly useful for questions that ask for advantages and disadvantages e.g. 'Give some of the advantages and disadvantages of the use of fertility drugs'.

A common 'red' response is ethical reasons. The pupil is encouraged to explain or give an example of what they mean. A better answer would be 'some people do not feel it is ethical for women over the age of 50 to be given the treatment'.
